So we get a lot of phone calls from customers and a lot of customers know exactly what they want. They ask for a very specific make and model for their truck. Others aren’t quite sure and so they need a little more help walking through that process, and we want to start with what kind of truck do you have.
We want to make certain that we pick out and we help match you with the bed that fits that truck right. A lot of the beds fit multiple trucks, but the different manufacturers have different length beds or different cab-to-axle measurements, and we don’t want to just put any bed on any truck. We want to make certain that you get the right one for your truck; for the best fit, best finish.
Another thing to consider is what style bed would you like. There are non-skirted beds; that tends to be more the most economical bed up to skirted beds that have more trim options. We sell and service a lot of the utility type beds; some of our industry clients need more tool storage and so we help make sure to match that bed to the right truck for our customers needs, and we help you walk through that and explain the differences in each of those types of beds.
A lot of times I’ll ask what is your intended use for the truck bed, and you know, if you’re going to haul freight on top of the bed, we may recommend one style. If you’re going to be hooking and unhooking a gooseneck trailer a lot, we may recommend another style. So we’ll walk you through all of those things.
Another concern, obviously, is a budgetary concern.
